Escape from Hell!
Dear Friends and Family,
Once a year or so I like to study the scriptures that pertain to the reality of heaven and hell. This year I found myself becoming a little cold and indifferent to the plight of the unsaved, but as I began to meditate on what the Bible has to say about the final judgment a great burden came upon me. Often, when the Holy Spirit gives us revelation we think that every Christian on earth ought to be just as excited about the present truth as we are :o) I realize that God is emphasizing many different truths to various parts of the Body of Christ, and it may be that not everyone will sense such an alarming need to proclaim the truth about hell with bold conviction. However at the risk of sounding sensational or harsh (which is not my intention) I felt the need to share this message that God gave me from Amos 9.
"Escape from Hell" describes four, vain ways that people attempt to escape the knowledge of hell. Despite their efforts, however, judgment is sure to come and sadly a terrible place of eternal suffering awaits. As Christians I don't think we need to sit around and be depressed, or heavy all the time. I believe people should see the joy of the Lord in our lives and be attracted to Jesus' love in us, but surely there is a time and a place for us to soberly consider what it will be like if one of our loved ones sinks down to hell. Surely it is appropriate for us to let this truth deeply impact us and shake us up. Surely it is wise to study the crafty ways that people avoid the knowledge of God in hopes that we might turn them from the error of their way. And surely it is appropriate to allow this truth to overflow from our burdened hearts in rivers of prayer and intercession on behalf of our loved ones.
I hope you are blessed by this message. If you are a Christian I hope you receive a fresh burden to pray for the people you know who are not born again. If you do not know God, If you are not 100% sure that the wrath of God no longer abides upon you, I pray that you will carefully listen and consider this message. Search the scriptures regarding this topic for yourself. There is an escape from hell provided by our loving heavenly Father. The door to that place of refuge is at the foot of the cross.
Sincerely,
Rick Arnold

Four Ways People Try to Escape Hell
Amos 9:2-3,5
2 “Though they dig into hell,
From there My hand shall take them;
Though they climb up to heaven,
From there I will bring them down;
3 And though they hide themselves on top of Carmel,
From there I will search and take them;
Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea,
From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;
5 The Lord GOD of hosts,
He who touches the earth and it melts,
And all who dwell there mourn;
All of it shall swell like the River,
And subside like the River of Egypt.

Video: Jesus - Liar, Lunatic, or Lord?
Who is Jesus?
Was he a liar? Was Jesus a lunatic? Or is Jesus Lord?
In Matthew 16 Jesus was talking with His disciples when He asked this very question. He asked who do men say that I am? They answered, "Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." Jesus went on, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter emphatically answered, "You are the christ the Son of the living God."
This has been the most important question that I have ever asked and found the answer to and I believe it is a question of eternal significance that should be asked and answered by all... So I ask you now, who do you say that Jesus is? Read More...

Knowing God as Your Father
Romans 8:14-18
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Video: How do We Know the Bible is True?

There have been hundreds of books written on the subject of the evidences of the divine inspiration of the Bible, and these evidences are many and varied. Most people today, unfortunately, have not read any of these books. In fact, few have even read the Bible itself! Thus, many people tend to go along with the popular delusion that the Bible is full of mistakes and is no longer relevant to our modern world.
Nevertheless the Bible writers claimed repeatedly that they were transmitting the very Word of God, infallible and authoritative in the highest degree. This is an amazing thing for any writer to say, and if the forty or so men who wrote the Scriptures were wrong in these claims, then they must have been lying, or insane, or both.

Audio: Importance of Spiritual Sight
The Importance of Spiritual Sight
1. It is possible to loose your spiritual sight
2. Without vision people cast off restraint
3. You become what you behold
4. Sight helps us to be ready for the judgement
5. Sight is vital for effective ministry
John 5:19
Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
John 5:20
For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel.
Video: Is Faith Really Blind?
Is faith Really Blind? I often hear people speak of faith as if it was. They imply that in order to have faith in God you must blindly believe, or in other words you must accept something as true without proof of any kind. But is this the faith of the Bible? Clearly it is not. In fact I would god so far as to say that a man does not even have faith until the moment he begins to see. Faith is not believing without seeing?, but rather it is believing what we see with the eyes of the Spirit and not limiting ourselves to physical sight. What do I mean by spiritual sight? Well let's turn to the Bible to see what it says regarding the subject. Read More...

TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD
“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him.“- Psalm 34:8
Only the Lord can truly satisfy you. He created man to walk with Him. God desires to have a relationship with you. He can and will reveal Himself to you in an extraordinary way. God says that the human soul or spirit is like a vessel or a cup. He desires to fill that vessel with His presence. The Bible says that in His presence is fullness of joy. We were made to be filled with God. The Bible tells us that God desires to come and live in us. He promises to be our God and our Father and we will be His people. Once you have tasted of the Lord's presence you will never be the same again. Read More...

Video: Why Does God Hide Himself?

I am often asked this question by atheists or people seeking truth. They say, “if God is real why doesn't He just show up and let everybody know what is going on?” Well, that is a good question and i have given it some thought. God does reveal Himself in three ways. Through creation, through the apprehension of the moral nature within us, and by direct revelation of the Holy Spirit to our souls. So it is possible and actually quite easy for all who seek God diligently and sincerely to find and know Him. But despite this there is some truth that there is mystery involved. God has partially hidden Himself and this is what the Bible teaches also. So the question is why? Well I certainly can't answer that question exhaustively but let bring 5 things to your mind to consider and hopefully you will see that God has a very wise and loving reason for doing do. Here goes... Read More...

Many people think that Christianity is purely blind faith. While, it is true that our journey to find God must start without first hand knowledge, it is not rue that it must remain that way. True Christianity is having a real relationship with God. As Christ says in John 14, He manifests himself to those who repent, come to Him in faith, and seek Him with all their heart. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Deuteronomy 4:29
But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. Read More...
